Mmmm: If one 'borrowed' the wappen to 'upgrade' their current M15 (Line Infantry) Off. haube, would this be considered a felony by Pickelhaubes.com standards & principles?
Judging from the extra holes on the shell, looks like someone already thought of this ? :-"

Looks like a earlier version reserve eagle wappen and star to me.

I would say there are some nice parts here but this helmet as a whole is one big frankenstein mess. its has been messed around with a little too much. [-(

The bird's crown isn't voided. Isn't that flashing around the edges of the bird (see by the talons) a good sign it's a modern restrike?
No reserve cross is on it, either, and the mounting screws are very long. Come to think of it, is that Garde star an order to be worn on the tunic? :-k

Yes, RON that would be a Picks.com felony. ;) If you're getting tired of that M15 line infantry officer helmet, you always know who you outbid for it. :P
I agree, that old helmet sure is a mess.

Somehow I had a feeling you would intervene here Ron and put me back on the Pickelhaubes.com righteous track :D

Just remember how nice that one of yours looks on the shelf! :) It's a sweet helmet.
