I don't feel comfortable with the liner and the star....

The star is upside down and seems to be plain metal without enamel. That looks like a Hessian point on the spike assembly.
The helmet body appears to be molded from a single piece of felt (or fiberboard?).
Pass.

I'd say 'stage piece' put together from bits and pieces. If it is such, it may have an interesting history, but it would take a theater or film historian to figure it out.

Liner does not look good to me and I agree that its probably assembled from various parts of which the authenticity is also questionable.
