A hard to find Bavarian chinstrap with single adjustment buckle, and Bavarian Lion side mount devices. Obviously incorrect for a Prussian M95 helmet.

Not sure why someone would have this chinstrap on a Prussian helmet.

I've seen a lot of these straps on a Bavarian fireman's helmet. From what I remember, they had four types of fasteners.

Thanks, that was my exact second thought, that the strap is for a Fireman's helmet.

I'm not sure why someone would remove M95 side posts from this helmet, and place this type of chinstrap and fasteners on an otherwise M95 Prussian helmet.

We all must remember that after 100+ years these helmets have survived being owned by numerous individuals who really had no knowledge of what was regulation. Todays internet resources has given us all a tremendous amount of information.
