Doesn't that camo band look too new/minty? Not a trace of rust on its rear buckle... :-k
Besides, what's with the extra-large owner's name? :o
Last but not least, isn't the chinstrap style that of the Reichswehr or 3rd Reich? I know some imperial visors came with straps--still don't know why it wasn't regulated/generalized to all visor hats--but doesn't this one look post-WW1 (rivets & extra adjustment buckles)?

Sold for $1,226.77 !!

And I thought the camo. band looked way too new, if we keep aside the rest... What am I missing here too? :-k

That's something I ask myself as well frequently with many ebay sales :D

Ouch! I missed this one! Another nice one from Bruce.

Camo band looks good to me, although no picture of the back belt fastener.

Actually, it's that back fastener--if it's the rear buckle you're referring to--that looked way too minty without a trace of corrosion (there's one picture partially showing it)... Anyway, looks like too many people wanted it and its price went beyond reason.
