Prussian Landwehr Infantry

Congrats….. nice…
That would look a lot better at my house.
Charles
That can be arranged at a later date
The collection will be for sale at some point.
Not your Landwehr Garde Cavalry but a start.
Some of my collector friends who have been here in person
for collector get togethers have selected items that they
wish to purchase when the collection is for sale.
I had several lists but lost them when my old computer crashed.
Come to see me sometime.
Best wishes
Steve

Excellent helmet Steve!
I recieved the disc from Mike regarding his shoulderstrap book too last week, thanks for helping me out with it!
If you are serious in selling some helmets from your collection, I would be in for some..
But as I am no scavenger, just contact me about it. I envy some of the M15's.
But I would like it more if they would stay in your collection, so everything would stay complete.
As you have an excellent collection. (As in, museum quality)

Best regards, Coert.

Hello

Great helmet and thanks for sharing.

I see that there are more and more large collectors selling their collection right now... I might be interested in selling...

Have a good evening

Thanks for your message.
I had a second collection of items
that belonged to soldiers of our Civil War
The United Confederate Veterans which I started in 1992 .
I have sold most of it
Trying to maintain 2 collections at my age was not possible .
So like the Labor Unions ; last in first out .
The I G collection was started in 1970
so it is difficult to let it go .
I will keep you informed
Best wishes
Steve

Thanks Steve! You should only let it go, if you are ready, not earlier.
And even then, you should think about later, when you start realizing you sold things you will regret. (been there, I did it too)
Mike's book is great by the way!

Best regards, Coert.

I agree
And I have already been down that road.
In 1992 I sold all of my Non - Prussian helmets .
Big mistake !
Hessian Officers helmets ; L G I R 115 ; FAR 25 ; D R 23 with order
Wurttemberg & Saxon Generals
I have since gone back and covered some of my mistakes
and it cost me a lot more $ than when I sold them in 1992
plus being a whole lot harder to find
The Saxon General has NOT been replaced
I am very glad that you like Mike's book
Best wishes
Steve

The threesome looks great together; a simply great-looking group of helmets displaying the variations from one German state.
Best regards,
John
