Offered for sale is a very nice condition M15 Prussian Enlisted Artillery Helmet with the non-ventilated back spine. Rare to find the non-vented back spine on these M15 Field Artillery Helmets.
No chinstrap or kokardes, exactly as I acquired the helmet.
Size "56" marked.
No extra holes behind front plate. Original metal grommeted holes with leather wedges intact.
Named to soldier on underside of back visor: "F. Schmidt".
Depot Issue Marked: "B.A. XI".
Liner is supple and in very nice condition. 3-tongues have been torn through the adjustment holes.
The black metal support disk for the spike base was located outside the helmet when I acquired it. I moved it to the inside of the helmet, as it should be.
