Prussian M95 OR Grenadier 3rd regiment helmet dated 1909 and well marked

And now a genuine one, salty and untouched. Stamps II GR and IIB, also BAG stamp, with Garde Wappen, as it has to be! Absolutely genuine.

Difficult question.
It is possible to perform a check:
The Garde-Adler always make a spacing of the fasteners of about 10cm.
The Linien-Grenadier-Adler, made 8cm at the time of the replacement of the eagle of the "old regiments" FWR, by the old eagle of the Garde-Grenadiers (until 1889) date at which the Garde-Adler with Garde-Stern will be the eagle not only of the Foot Guards, but also of the Garde-Grenadiers.
If the gap is 10cm the question remains.
If the gap is 8cm it is a regiment of Linien-Grenadier.

That said, I agree with Philippe's observation that a 3rd Line Grenadier helmet should be marked B.A. III, not B.A.G.
We sometimes see "anomalies" of this type, with non-conforming front plates, and yet affixed to the hull for a long time. Maybe an "adaptation" of war circumstances, made at the front, or an anarchic assembly, when taken as a trophy.
To illustrate, I like to show the photo below, with double piercing, it is on a victorious English soldier at the battle of the Somme. Obviously the plate of the 2 big holes above will not correspond to the regiment number or the B.A.. On the other hand the 2 regulatory eyelets, yes.

And at this point, if this helmet still exists, in a collection, what faceplate?
---The one from Kammer.
---The unconventional one with the 2 extra holes.
---The one randomly affixed by the English soldier who brought it back to his cottage.
;)

I went thru my garde and grenadier em collection and I have to agree with Phillipe. My garde have KBAG or BAG then GGR or 2 GRzF. My grenadier ones have no marking though, so I would assume the Garde ones would be the ones having KBAG or BAG markings. The wappens can be interchangeable as they have the same spacing.
