Looks like the spike is going to have a lot of little spikelettes soon! six suckers, er, I mean, BIDS so far.

Thanks to that monster being posted here I was able to save someone from a gross mistake on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum. A fellow posted a link to that helmet and asked if it would be okay to purchase! Since I'd already seen it here, I warned him off.

That would buy a lot of reference books.
Even if he'd had a copy of Bowman ( :? ), he could've learned enough to avoid this.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! pretty much $800 with the shipping!!! WHAT A SUCKER! I bet he's sure gonna be pissed when he gets it appraised!

This is another helmet from the same seller. What's the prognosis on this one?:

And another:

His bayonets appear to be the real-deal.

The front visor inside of the M15 raises question marks, but who knows. It LOOKS good in the photos but.... For me, somebody who sells fakes as real can't be trusted.... ever. There's a company in Germany that makes excellent repros for re-enactors. This might be an aged one of his. One can't really tell without holding it, smelling it and taking a close look.

I'm sure some of the others have sharper eyes than I do!

MIKE! Tell your friend on the Wehrmacht forum that if he was considering that piece of junk as an original, he'd better study more before he buys.

:D Ron.
