Hello,
No problem. This is an M71 Pioneer Reserve officer’s helmet, but from 1914. It’s of lower quality, marked “Kriegsfertigung.” The metal is no longer silver-plated nickel silver but zinc. The silver plating and gold plating have worn off. The four stars, the Perlring, and the ribbed crowns on the cockades are indeed made of nickel silver, which is why the patina is slightly different. The eagle is that of an active-duty officer, but a gold Landwehrkreuz was added upon mobilization. The stars are no longer secured with nuts but are held in place by two thin, folded wire tabs.
The red and green sheepskin linings have been replaced with waxed canvas.
