Hello,

Here's a nice issued pre-war Prussian Pioneer Enlisted man's pickelhaube.

Back visor is marked to Pioneer Batallion 24 from what I can see in person "P.B. 24" in a rectangular box. Issue mark is hard to read unless outdoors in good sunlight (which I did not have for photos) or good indoor lighting. The white cloth label is named to a "Pionier ?Kranoy?" and I cannot make out the bottom line of the label.

Prussian Enlisted Kokarde is a reproduction.

I believe the Chinstrap is an older reproduction. The chinstrap metal fittings seem to have a dark patina on them, as seen in my photos. Chinstrap has black thread stitching at the attachment to the buckles.

Everything else about the helmet is original (including the National Kokarde which is original WW1 or earlier mfg.)

Stitching is tight and original on the visors. Front visor edge trim is a little loose, but original to the helmet.

Alan- If I did not have one, I would take it. Very nice Pioneer helmet which can be hard to find.
