Hi to everyone,
just entered the collection this 1914 Pionere EM Pickelaube , I'm not still ready for rare and particular picklhaube so I go on in studying and to learning on these more common ones..but always full of charming
I like it a lot for the nice conditions and I don't see any "red flags" but as usual any opinions are welcome....
All my best
Giorgio

I like your helmet a lot!

Fantastic, close up and well done photos.

The simple M1895 is what started me on this helmet addiction as a seven year old kid. It's form, simplicity and beauty are what brought most of us into the fold, I would wager.

And Pioneer helmets of any flavor are definitely not common in my book.

That is a fantastic helmet you have there. I would love to have one like it in my own collection.

Really thanks for your opinions b.loree and USMC-EOD....:):)
and thanks for all the "likes" left...(y)
I really appreciate
Giorgio
I really like the helmet, I also have a Pionier M95 enlisted helmet, which I posted a while ago. I also have an reserve officer Pionier, these helmets are not so common! I, as others here, also see no red flags on yours. It looks great! My enlisted helmet though, does also have neu-silber M91 posts, and fittings on the chinstrap, but, seeing yours is dated 1914, it might be those were out of stock by then. My enlisted one does not have any date in it though, only marked PB11. Like you, I am only interested in enlisted ranks helmets, though I do have 2 officer ones, and 1 reserve officer one. The rest are EM 1895's, and M1915 enlisted ones.
You did well in buying it, those are not easy to find.

Regards, Coert.

Really thanks Coert and pppara...(y)
it's always a pleasure to have opinions from knowledge people..In this field I'm a beginner (i came from 30 years of 3rd reich schirmmützen collecting) so I've still a long road to go through...but what I've to say is that's really amusing and interesting especially when you have the opportunity to compare and to aquire every days new informations
All my best from Turin
Giorgio
