Can anyone help with this makers mark on a tin Prussian pickelhaube?

Here's mine. Looks like a '6' or a '9' to me.

In my experience with these helmets, that is the number 7. My initial suggestion is that this is a size indicator ie. size 57 or 56 cm. The haube sizes range from 52-60 cm. and there are also half sizes especially in the private purchase helmets. Government issued helmets generally have the size ink stamped up inside the shell or on the rear visor. Private purchase sizes are hand written and done in grease pencil usually a blue colour.
