Prussian Tin

This is a very strange set-up. The Wappen on this tin is the reserve officer type, but it has the single loop in the back that a normal tin would have. My initial thought is that it is legit. What do you think?

The ad says that the chinstrap is a reproduction. The Kokarde probably is too.
Not all tins had a rear spine, so that looks okay.
Originally I thought that somebody soldered a new loop on the reverse side of an officer's Wappen, but there is no indication that screw posts had ever been soldered on.
The paint looks new, so it has likely been repainted.

Not a bad price either.

Hi all, this is my auction. Yeah, it looks like someone repainted it at one point and neatly filled the holes with solder.

The liner is rough but it's not a bad little helmet.

The kockade might be a repo or a repaint? I don't know. The chinstrap is definitely a replacement

No, I was intrigued by it myself. It has the standard one brass bracket and it does not look like it ever had 2 loops. I was contemplating changing to a wurttemberg plate that had the one brass bracket let but I left it as is. It fits nicely though.

I have never seen an officer plate on one before also.
