This is a very strange set-up. The Wappen on this tin is the reserve officer type, but it has the single loop in the back that a normal tin would have. My initial thought is that it is legit. What do you think?

The ad says that the chinstrap is a reproduction. The Kokarde probably is too.
Not all tins had a rear spine, so that looks okay.
Originally I thought that somebody soldered a new loop on the reverse side of an officer's Wappen, but there is no indication that screw posts had ever been soldered on.
The paint looks new, so it has likely been repainted.
Not a bad price either.
