As the seller has poor reviews here, I'm assuming this tschapka has issues too?

as far as i know, M15 guard uhlan shapskas were never issued (allthough they were produced)
Chinstrap looks like a repro, cocarde looks original, mortarboard and feldzeichen look questionable to me (curious wear to mortarboard, very new officers type feldzeichen)

I may be wrong, please wait for other opinions

Overall it looks good to me. The mortarboard is the correct original one. The Feldzeichen is for an Unteroffizier. I would only question the Suum (Sum?) Cuique center, which seems to be a later addition (Guard eagles were often issued without it). It is easy to take it off though...

Does a cord field badge necessarily mean the wearer was of NCO rank?
Check out http://www.kaisersbunker.com/pt/tschako.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which indicates a cord badge is merely a privately-purchased item.

This bloke also has a saxon tschapka up for auction.... [-X

The problem is that it could be a genuine U.7 ersatz Tschapka. It could explain the extra holes, the stamp and the silver visor trim. If it's the case, this Tschapka is a little treasure but needs a correct U7 eagle front plate.
