It amazes me what people try to pass off as "Imperial German Sun Helmets." I have seen several American M1887/89 sun helmets with a mere $10 cockade added to the front. I have seen Italian sun helmets listed as German, again with the cockades. When I've shown/presented photos of the American helmet I hear, "many helmets look similar." It really is incredible!
