Query re. Army Corps BA X and IR73

Dear All

I have been seeking clarification on some markings namely Army Corps BAX and its components.

If my understanding is correct, IR73 of Hannover was incorporated into that BAX. Is that correct?

My question arises in connection with that helmet spotted on Ebay.fr

Hi Alex,
Yes, F.R. 73 was part of X. A.K., however the helmet has a few things that I don't like:
1. The double "BA X" stamp; haven't seen that before
2. The helmet seems to have a seam in the back of the skull, like much older models of pickelhaube (at least before 1895); it could of course be an older model cut down in size and refitted with visors
3. In 1915 I would expect iron rather than brass fittings
Of course, I would gladly be told that I'm wrong
Best regards, Lars
