I don't know if anyone else has seen this but I think a real one would easily go for somewhere between $1500-2000, especially if it is a true felt bavarian. Also, why is there no photos of the liner inside? And the stitching on the front seam raises so questions, where's the metal trim?

And finally, it's being sold from the Uk !

Same or similar? Even the rust on the crown is the same!

Well, there's an auction house NOT to trust, but then again, not to be too hasty, did anybody contact them and tell them its a fake? :-k

Yes, one of those 1970's fakes from the UK. so far, we know they made felt Prussian and Saxon shakos and these Prussian and Bavarian tschapkas. They all have the same incorrect liners and an inked korps stamp. The feldzeichen coloured centre is obviously glued on and is therefore, another "tell" in this reproduction.

I'm not sure what you mean about the liner. Please send a PM if the info is deemed too sensitive to put in front of potential counterfeiters.
