Questions on a spike base

Hello friends!

Bought this base from a fellow forum member; its in silver but that finish has largely faded..

Would this be appropriate for a Bavarian or Hessen helmet and anyone have the pieces (the screw base) and appropriate spike?

Hi. Typically Pickelhauben with cruciform spike bases have the front arm of the cruciform about 1/2 the length of the other arms, (what you have). On Hessen helmets the "arms" on the cruciform spike base appear to be equal in length. However, the front arm is actually a tiny bit shorter and always orientated to the front.

Ah thank you! So this base is likely a Bavarian base in silver for a leib regiment? Any other possibilities?
