Rabbits And WW1

About 20-15 years ago when I was collecting spikes I also had rabbits as pets.

They were potty trained just like cats to use a litter box and had free range of the house.

During that time I also collected pictures of rabbits in WW1 .

Well I just found my stash of photos after being in a box for 15 years.

I thought my son ( he is in CA) could walk me though scanning but he could not.

So I have to take pics of the pics , that will be a hassle.

I will try and start later on today.

I know that I am ignorant and I am about to prove it. What is their fascination with rabbits? I know that they are tasty but that doesn't appear to be the driver.

Nice poses with cute rabbits but as Tony said there was a more practical use for keeping rabbits. They breed quick and mature almost as fast. In my readings, they describe massive rabbit breeding operations set up by the Germans even in city parks so as to feed the populace. Rabbit fur also had many uses including our Filz helmets.
