May I ask if you own this busby?Hello I can't resist sharing with you this rare hussar Pelzmütze from East Asian Expeditionary Corps or Occupation Brigade troops View attachment 53426
I only collect photos that I find here and there. I try to magnify them then share them for the pleasure of the eyes. This one go from KubeMay I ask if you own this busby?
Or is it simply a photo you found on the internet?
I'm looking forward to see some expert opinions on this one. Personally this busby simply makes no sense to me. Although there's markings inside and the cockades etc. I've never seen any "hussar"'s photo in China before or after 1900, except photos of hussar officers in the uniforms of their original units. It may just be my ignorance of course.
I'm also thinking it could be an "example" or "experimental" piece.

DennisA period photo would confirm it’s authenticity, but until then, I’m a bit skeptical

...who knows. Don't know what this book says...
Thank you!I looked through the entire book again just to be sure and there is no reference at all of a Hussar Pelzmuetze.
There are many photographs, period illustrations and written text dealing with mounted troops both camel and horse with many beautiful modern photos as well of every type of headgear, uniforms ect ect used but again not a single reference of any kind to Hussars.
It's an incredible volume filled with all types of information on all the German Colonial troops.
Well worth the investment and a must have beautiful volume for any collector or Historian interested in the subject filled to the brim with super rare original items and photos galore.
Thank you!
That's the point. When you do not find it in this fine book....it most probably never existed.
even reputable auction sites or stores sometimes sell questionable piecesThank you!
