I am looking for a 1868 Bavarian Raupenhelm caterpillar helmet. Unfortunately I missed the beautiful condition infantry officer specimen that was sold here a few months ago for $600.
Something in decent restorable condition, with or without the comb/caterpillar is fine, I'm just not trying to spend a fortune. I actually prefer projects and I just missed a great opportunity so now I'm regretful and hoping someone has one they don't really want or an abandoned project they want to pass on. I've already seen the other two listed for sale here but I'd like to see what else may be lurking in someone's closet. Located in US.
