Can anyone help me with this marking on a Prussian 1889 Cavalry Sword:B.b.626. I don't think this one is an easy one......Any help will be much appreciated. Greets Gelle

If I'm not mistaken, the sword itself at least (i.e. without the scabbard) is an export model of the German M1889 Cavalry sword which had a basket... It was made for countries other than Germany.

Here's where/when I first learned this: http://www.pickelhaubes.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=6515&hilit=+prussian+cavalry" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It was maybe originally made for export, but it was used a lot by the Germans. I have an identical sword that was found only a few km from my home. I was very lucky to be able to buy it directly from the owner of the house where it was found...
