Hello,

I am looking for these Regimental Histories. These are the books that i am looking for:

Georg Buch: "Das Husaren-Regiment 'von Schill' (1. Schlesisches Nr. 4) im Weltkriege", Hannover, 1923, Habuva, 177 Seiten

Ilsemann: "Wir 13. Husaren im Weltkrieg 1914/18", Regimentsgeschichte in Einzeldarstellung, 2 Hefte, München 1935 & 1936, Offizier-Verein.

Hope people can help me to get these books.

Regards,

Henk Koelewijn

Hello Henk,
Join the club! I am also still looking for Husaren Regiment Nr. 4. by Georg Buch. It does not exist in digital form either. I do have the other book(s) but do not want to part with them at the moment. I am also looking for the WWI histories of the Kürassier Regiments : 1,3 and 4.
Dragoon Regiments : 1 and 12. Uhlan Regiments : 8 and 21. Good luck in your endeavors. Kyle

Hello Kyle,

Thank you for your reply, if you want to sell the 13 hussar Regiment, you know to find me. Do you collect all German Cavalry regiment or only specific Regiments.
I can keep an eye open for the regiments you are looking.

I am doing historical research from mobilization to the 1st Battle of the Marne.
And the role of the German cavalry.

I have the books of Joe Robinson exceptionally good written books.

Henk

There is no ww1 history of the KR3. From the KR1 there is only the first part of a planned series.

Kyle did you ever visited Haus Vornholz. Very beautiful collection. Been there several times. Don't know if you can visit it.

Henk,
I collect all the calvary regiments . Those I have listed are the missing ones . Kürassier Nr. 3 history apparently does not exist for the World War One . Kürassier Nr. 1 's history is listed as existing in the library of the Australian War Museum( an incredible collection) as call number 940.41343 G459lk no.I v.!. Printed in 1934 , 463 pages, 22cm in size. From the response I received ,the complete history (even with a 463 page start) was never finished.
I was always interested in the histories of the individual regiments but my interest took off after reading "The Mons Myth" by Zuber and his listing of the regimental histories of the units that participated. I also collect infantry regiments , the guard regiments and the line regiments 1 through 182.

Hello Kyle.

Yes i have a book about all the Regimental histories that are printed, and indeed there is no WWI regimental history of Kürassier Nr.3

The individual histories are good material to examine, unfortunately the German Military Archives were destroyed in WWII at the end of the war.
The Regiment were i am interested the most is Husaren Regiment Königin Wilhelmina der Niederlande (Hannoversches) Nr. 15 from Wandbek.
Heard about the book from Zuber but didn't read it.

I am doing that for more than 26 years now. Recently i was in the Koninklijk Hausarchiv in Den Haag. The have all the Regimental Lists of Officers and the strength lists from 1899-1913.

Here a picture of the last 6 Hussars in 1986. The last of them Hans Dose died in 1999.

Hello, do you know this dealer? https://zeughaus-braun.de/en/
For a dealer I think his prices are often quite fair.
;) Best reagrds, Jens
I have bought several Rangliste books, and regimental histories from him.
Yesterday I looked on his site, to check if he had the regimental history book @Ritmeester66 was looking for, but alas, he didn't.
Fortress Books also have a lot of them for sale here in the Netherlands, but they also didn't have it in stock.

Regards, Coert.

Hello Sander,

Oh nice i thought that i was the only Dutch men that collected the German Hussar Regiments.
The Uniform of Hussar Regiment Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands is that your uniform.

I go quite often to Wandsbeker Heimatmuseum they have some uniforms of Hussar Regiment 15. Unfortunately, not a Officer.
These badges of the Regiment 15 i have in my collection, also the Regimental plate.
