Just got this tin helmet in and the markings on the front visor is hereby attacked. Seller reckons that its maker's marking. I reckon it is regimental marking but could not figure or decipher the whole thing. Any advice?

Thank you

This is a makers mark. Unfortunately, I forget the translation of the letters but someone here will help out. We have discussed this Berlin manufacturer of kit helmets before. I have the exact same helmet in my collection also with the cloth skull pad present. Nice helmet :thumb up:

I like all tin helmets and spike helmets and steel helmets, my house is like a helmet graveyard when I start playing with them. The German workmanship always impress me.

That’s it, thanks Sandy! The letters are always the same in stenciled gold paint with the size done by hand. I have always wondered how so many of these ended up in such excellent condition. I bought mine from Randy T long before the creation of Age of Kings.

Not a easy one to find
Even the inner dome is still there
Could we see the entire helmet ,i am curious to see the outside of this one
At first glanse it looks a nice one that you have found
