Offered for sale is a spectacular looking and rare Bavarian 2nd Jaeger Battalion Stein.
The colors are brilliant and crisp, with No fading to the hand painted highlights or roster. The lower portion of the stein has 3-Dimensional highlights to the lower portion of the Lion, the branch along the ground, and the leaf highlights. The handle of the stein is made to look like a tree branch.
The lid features a miniature Bavarian Jaeger Shako set upon a silver wreath, resting atop a cross-section of stag antler. The thumb lift features a 3-dimensional Stag Head with a heart emblem between the stag's antlers. The reverse side of the thumb lift shows a concentric circle target between the antlers.
There is an area of separation inside the lid with the top attachment of the handle, as seen in my photos, which does not affect the closure of the lid or the display of the stein.
Some of the photos show a reflection from the camera flash. This does not mean the color or words are faded out, as they are bright and crisp looking.
There is a lithopane image bottom to the stein, which I show in a photo held up to the light.
This is a very rare and desirable stein. I have only ever seen two similar type examples of these that have sold in the past for a lot more than what I am asking here on e-Stand, in the famous "Fox Auctions" of steins. And you won't have to pay 20++ Percent auction commission here for this stein, or any sales tax.
