Hello, group members,

I would greatly appreciate your valuable insights regarding this helmet, specifically whether it is original and any other information you can provide.

There are a few things that worry me. The bolts holding the spikebase are attached with hex nuts instead of squared nuts. The bolts attaching the chinscales are also wrong, as well as the repro cockades and repro liner. The chinscales are too wide and too long for the helmet and finally I don't like the “Junckers” stamp.

WOW  they are getting better and better. The interior with its hyper and uniform aging started the alarm bells ringing on first look then the liner ect ect ect.

I'm a little reserved in saying reasons because I believe fakers are looking in to get feedback on their latest effort.

All the while learning from their mistakes until....... 😈👺☠️

That appears to be a very nice Preussen Reserve Officer in silver.

Remove that original Adler, and then look at the helmet. Chinscales appear good, possibly spike base. It appears to be mostly replica with a few (?) original parts.

Give it a sniff, perhaps with a fresh Naan bread?

Look at that ghosting left when the Wappen was removed especially around the eagle's head and crown.

It's almost like they are learning what experienced collectors are looking for to help identify originality.

I don't think it could have been sprayed on any better. well maybe a little bit. :ROFLMAO: oops shouldn't have let them know that. Next time they won't make the same mistake.

Now I want an order of Butter Chicken.
