RIR 107

Screw posts , square brass nuts and tin washers Philippe. To me this would also indicate no grommets.

My 3 Saxon Reserves. One of them has a smaller cross than the other two.

Thanx, Brian! Not necessarily!
Bruno, especially for those helmets that were made at this transition time (1895), it´s not rare to observe mixed elements on the same helmet, as for example M91 Wappen in M95 grommets. Elements of both patterns were used !
Here is a good example of mine, with even an old Eigentum liner that was NOT thrown away by the maker as the new modern silk liner made its apparition on private purchased helmets, BUT used to complete a simple EM helmets bought by the units companies and then Kammer marked.
This is a untouched german barn find with many picts and documents of the wearer found with it together. You will also take note that the Wappen screws are perfectly flat on the top. Nevertheless they are absolutely original, this is also not always a sign of modern repro ☝️ I already saw that on 100% original private purchased Wappen before.
