Uniform of Rittmeister Bodo von Petersdorff (1876-1931) when attached to JzPf Regt.#8. Originally with Dragoner Regt.#18 in 1913 and to JzPf Regt.#8 in 1914. Ended the war as Oberstleutnant and Commander of JzPf Regt.#6 1918-1919. He was also an Ehrenritter of the Johaniterorden.

Lovely grouping. The photograph shows him as an Oberleutnant in 1. Garde-Dragoner-Regiment Königin Viktoria von Großbritannien und Irland.

Here he is, lightly wounded, June 1915 as Rittmeister in the 2/JzPf.8

Steve, yes it is. Interim Officers helm for Jaeger zu Pferde Regts 8-13. This also came with a 3" x 3" pad made with the same material as the liner to cushion the top of the head when wearing the helmet.



 
Absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for bringing this up, I had never seen it in my wanderings about the forum.
