Good show Tony! Here is the Mastfernrohr version. My article on the Artillerie Messtrupps was printed in the Winter 1978 edition of Kaiserzeit. You may be correct about it being on Johan Somers' old website. I did have a few articles added there, but I don't think they are accessible currently. At least, I could not find any of the many old articles that were on his site.

My guess is that the soldier in the photo is wearing a pattern strap just like the Bavarian Lichtmesstrupp one that Tony has shown, only with the "AM 28" designation.
