Roll Number? Writing inside Pickelhaube

G’day!
Im a collector from Australia and i recently purchased this pickelhaube for a fairly cheap price. It has some writing inside and i was wondering if anybody had any info about it?

Seems to be:

J.R.?.7
1905
L.J.(R/B?).(3/5?).3

I’ve asked a fellow collector here who’s more educated in the realm of pickelhaubes and he’s narrowed it down to being:

“either I.R. 17, 37, 57, they all had regular brass gilt eagles.

Infanterie-Regt. Graf Barfuß (4.Westfälisches) Nr.17
(Mörchingen) XXI Armee Korps

Füsilier-Regt. von Steinmetz (1.Westpreußisches) Nr.37
(Krotoschin) V Armee Korps

Infanterie-Regt. Herzog Ferdinand von Braunschweig (8.Westfälisches) Nr.57
(Wesel) VII Armee Korps “

In regards to “1905” written inside too he’s noted that it may be his regimental roll number, especially with there being what seem to be initials at the end (L.J.R? L.J.B?)
If anybody has a way to research this some help would be greatly appreciated!

Im mainly a steel-helmet collector, this is my first dip in to the distinguished realm of pickelhaubes! I am aware that the thong is new which raises questions of whether each section is original to the piece. Regardless of whether it is a Franken-Haube it will display nicely amongst my other Imperial German pieces.IMG_5861.jpegIMG_5882.jpegIMG_5891.jpegIMG_5894.jpegIMG_5855.jpeg

Hi
This is an original Pickelhaube.
It's a M1915 model grey metal enlisted man model.
The spike is removable.
1905 is the year.
The helmet would have been reissued.
It has the correct state corkage by the side. Congrats.
I can't see the complete portion of the chinstrap but having half of chinstrap is better than none. LOL

Thank you so much for your replies! Super helpful.
If you have any speculation as to the JR?7 and possibly track-able info provided by the other numbers I’d love to hear theories!

I’m super happy with it! It’s safely stored and displayed now alongside some stahlhelms, a Grabenpanzer and some other cool stuff.

I feel as though it’s only responsible to now purchase another pickelhaube. I dont want this one to get lonely!

Don't worry, Pickelhaube disease is very contagious, you can't stop at one. 🤣
