Russian Garde NCO Helmet

A recent purchase (bit of a restoration project...Especially the eagle.)

Size marking , and numbered under the badge. The eagle does not ever appear to have been silvered.
I have seen images of them in gilt and silver. Anyone know why this is ?

Badge centre is either heavily gilt or actual gold.

If anyone can help with some parts please get in touch. 8-[

Sergei,

Thank you for your reply.
I thought it was related to rank not different regiments.
I will get my Latvia co-worker to translate so I can dig deeper

Thanks Mark
