Sachsen Officer Kugelhelm?

I'm late to all this 'latest find' thread stuff as I never had a digital camera for quite sometime. Now that I do, I can show off a bit..;O).... But I need to stop using the macro lens on this , I think.

Anyhoo, I got this some while back and I wondered what was going on with the Rossettes at the time but I think Tony mentioned that these screw slot type were acceptable but I'm not sure. what do you guy's think? It's a nice helmet with a great big star on the front and was my first Kugelhelm. The star is really 'bombe' - very pronounced curvature. It has a green silk liner and the quality is outstanding. It's in pretty good nick too.

Wow! :love10: Absolutely stunning! Not an officer's helmet though Mike. Look at the spike base brads, Perlring, screw post retainers (officer's never had this pattern)
