Santa was kind.

Nope, it's for a 'haube I think. It's quite large and very curved.

The centre helmet crown and the antlers are pierced out but the Lion's crown is not - does this make it something less than an Officer wappen or not? I think I've seen Officer helmets with pierced and not-pierced. The overall quality and detailing is very good.

Very, very nice Mike, it is such a plus to have the square nuts and washers on a wappen. Thus, when the right helmet comes along you can complete the puzzle. Excellente

Cheers Brian. I was wondering - seeing as I've got this amazing collection of six plates now - how does one go about displaying/storing them? Anyone fancy showing their 'housed' plate collection, I'd be very interested? Mind you, I probably need to acquire a few more before I start worrying about that!

Maybe Tony will post a photo of his very extensive helmet
front plate collection ?
I have wanted to see it myself for sometime
or if it is on his site he can direct us to it
I am sure Brian has seen it in person
when he was there for a visit

Steve
