Ok guy's, what do you think??

This seller has some pretty rare helmets on Ebay lately.

What do you think of this busby?

The Saxon Kokarden on the side bugs me as it beleive it should not be there if the Pom Pom is present?

I asked the seller about the helmet. Here's his reply:

"Hello.
Circa 1950. Museum grade Reproduction of a $10,000 Helmet. $999.00 sounds good to me for a good display."

Hello This busby is an enlisted example. Field badge, kockarden and sealskin covering are all enlisted material. It is an outstanding example, none the less. Good luck with the auction. MHJ

wow. MHJ should buy some :study:

Actually, I believe the seller is off on the 1950 date. This looks like a 1970's reproduction by Der Fliegerbatallion of Lumberton, N.C.. His 1888 Indian Scout is a $300.00 repro by F. Burgess & Co., now deceased. Also, the leather on the 17th lancer chinstrap looks awfully new. By referring to these as "antiquities" and not listing them as copies in the description is an outright deception IMO. :x Corky

The busby sold for just under a grand.
It's strange.

Another Antiquities dealer . List enough info to baffle the buyer and someone will buy it.
Looks like the dealer who had a repro M1907/1910 WaffenFrock for sale , made by GWM I informed her it was A reprpo and she accused me of interfering in her auction.
Nice little lady.
