Saxon-Carabinier Helmet

This is my first post on the forum. I am thinking of purchasing a Saxon-Carabinier helmet but it has double holes, why would it have two sets of holes for the helmet plate and should this affect the price.

Welcome hixxy: Two sets of holes suggests that the helmet plate on the piece is not original and has been put on there to boost the value. I would advise you not to purchase such a helmet. Your fellow collectors will not want to buy it if you choose to resell. Essentially, you would be buying someone else's problem, so don't do it. Save your money and wait until something legitimate comes up for sale. In saying that, if you are looking seriously at something to buy, post comments and photos here on the forum and we will help you.

helmets with double holes are always problems
there are always questions like why this ,why that
you schould always ask yousrself the same question' why are those holes made ' if you do not know the answer immidiately that's becose you are having doubts on the helmets

and with doubts stay off i would say ,you will regret it otherwise
