That’s a beautiful helmet, Steve.

I’m thrilled to have this helmet. It wasn’t something I had considered acquiring because I never imagined I’d get a Saxon GR helmet with a lion on top. I had originally set my sights on one with a spike mounted on top, which I still want, but that will have to wait for the future. I’m very grateful to the gentleman who provided me with such a prized piece.

You can, Charles! Congratulations. A friend of mine in Europe owns a spectacular collection of GR helmets and their cats and knows everything about those. The rarest find is the lion alone (and finding the lion in feldgrau version is even more challenging!..).
