Saxon Infantry plate - Opinion

Hi,

I would like to have your opinion concerning this plate. Is it a correct Saxon Infantry helmet plate (gilt star with silver coat of arms) for a M1895 trooper helmet?

Distance between the loops is 6cm.

I agree with above comments. It looks good and original. I do like that kind of "old patina" on it. Very nice plate

Sorry Coert, but are you sure that this is an original emblem? In my opinion the details of the white metal coat of arms and its surface are too unclear for a pressed coat of arms from that time. I think you can see what I mean, if you compare it with the one above . Plus, I had a replica last year, which looked very similar to this one.
