Maybe it's a camera distortion problem, but this appears to be a modern copy:

The spike is oddly shaped and the body isn't shaped quite right--the paint seems funky, too.
 
Saw that one too and I did not trust it from the start. Unbelievable that someone pays that much for a suspicious looking haube.

I don't think most of the ebay buyers have seen enough helmets to know. Everybody is in such a rush to 'buy' that they don't take time to research.
