It looks good to me except for the rear spine. The ad says that it has brass parts with oxidation. The rear spine appears to be gray metal. That could be REALLY bad oxidation or just bad photography. If it were me, I would ask if the rear spine is magnetic.
I'm not partial to mixed metal helmets.

I agree with John. The colour of the spine is the first thing I noticed. The spine fits well on the shell and rear visor though. Everything else looks authentic. Original cockades, typical saxon mark engraved in the rear bill, and the stamp "Gefreiter" adds something. This seller is close to Paris, France. She frequently advertises spike helmets on ebay, and they always look like good examples. This being said, the general condition of this one is not great. This is not a rare helmet; as of me, I would wait for a prettier one...
 
Thanks guys , saw the price go up today so deleted it , first thing that had my attention was the spine too but would probably gone with the oxidation story . But i do watch this seller as i've been happy with purchases previously .
