SAXON TELEGREAPH BATTALION SHAKO

Dear all,

Can anyone help with this. I can't find information leading to it.
No extra holes, the loops on the saxon badge have not been moved as well. None of my Prussian shako badges (4 of them) fix into the holes. Came to me as
Prussian style shako fitted for Saxon use. It features Saxon NCO litzen around the top including a Saxon NCO's field badge. Marked inside "Tel Batl 3 1916"

Telegraphen-Bataillon Nr.3 should have a line eagle, Telegraphen-Bataillon Nr.7 did wear the Saxon Wapppen. Was this shako ever at a gun show in eastern Pennsylvania? Or are there more with the white band?

No idea as to whether the shako has gone for a fun show or not. Will try my heraldic eagle again. What does the litzen on the top tells us abt the pickelhaube.

Managed to get one of my heraldic eagles to tightly fit into the set of holes. Now the eagle matches the markings but the litzen is still a puzzle.

Amy,
Take a look at this thread. We have been discussing these for a long time.
