This just arrived today
Rare Wurttemberg Uhlan Regt 20 M1915 shoulder strap
It was worn on a uniform as seen by the button hole
and bottom of the strap was sewn into the uniform
with the M1915 Uhlan straps all units went to red with piping the color of the old strap

I am not a uniform expert on Feldgrau
especially without the reference books in hand .
Here is what I think from memory
When they went to the Feldgrau uniform ; ulanka which was more or less
the same pattern as the pre war uniform
they made the shoulder straps in the same shape as the prewar
as shown here on the left with a Bavarian uhlan strap
The M1915 strap was a much different shape and I think
went of the simple uniform.
Feldgrau uniform experts and collectors , please correct me .

Correction ;
U R 20 is correct , but I called it a Saxon unit
it is in fact a Wurttemberg U R 20
pardon the mistake
