Saxony infantry officer

Overall very good shape, hardly used helmet ,” gewölbter” wappen with big starburst, still nicely gilded and nicely crafted cockades.

The Saxony helmet from 1913 and beyond has this typical cylindrical shape that runs all the way to the end of the front visor, and they like their spikes tall, …very tall…

Under normal circumstances, when I hear the word “Nachlass” I start running as fast as I can :| , usually this means a very high prize and some doubt, but when I saw this helmet, it was love at first sight.
However, I do have the handwritten letter of the daughter of this officer who was a Major in the 105th.

Ed,
Not a lot of Majors in the JR105...
Which of them?

Fürstenau, von Metzsch-Reichenbach, Bucher, Kückens, Scholl or Oppermann?

Nice helmet indeed! I like the style of the visor, which I see mostly on helmets from Saxony… kinda 'squared rounded'.
