Beautiful helmets Jupiter ,your helmet could be part of the historical Christmas truce football match of 1914.

“A German solidier, Lieutenant Johannes Niemann of the 133rd Royal Saxon Regiment, remarked that “a Scottish soldier appeared with a football which seemed to come from nowhere and a few minutes later a real football match got underway. The Scots marked their goal mouth with their strange caps and we did the same with ours.”

Great helmet that has been worn by an Offizier-Stellvertreter!!!(Feldwebel with officer functions).
I think both cokades on your helmet are particular to this rank/function and.....they are made of some thin and light Ersatz metal, like on my wartime fabrication TR12 helmet:
