Belatedly, a minor addition. Pre-1897 officer and c.1910 EM for Magdeburgisches Husaren-Regt. Nr.10, showing the evolving uniform color (specifically how the "dark green" became much brighter from 1890 to 1914. The brilliant pinkish "pompadour red" is best captured in the detail pic of the cockades and band.

You have a very impressive collection. Great job in bringing all of these old cavalry pieces together. You know how much that I love Imperial German Cavalry. Thank you.

A few additions to the theme:

Husaren-Regiment Fürst Blücher von Wahlstatt (Pommersches) Nr.5 senior NCO (left - wool band) and officer (right - black velvet band). The officer is especially interesting, being a very lightweight riding cap with a foldable visor, almost no internal structure, and originally with a very thin gossamer silk lining. Both in the beautiful and distinctive madder red unique to this regiment.

Braunschweigisches Husaren-Regiment Nr.17 NCO (left) and officer (right), both being high-end examples when originally purchased, and showing the two variations of the Braunschweig TK.
