Some of Kaiser Wilhelm's and other German nobleman's helmets I have seen, have Schuppekette / Chinscales with missing straps and buckles. Usually when a pickelhaube has these parts missing, it may be a reason to be reluctant buying it.
Is there any knowledge about "what's normal in these noble picklehaube cases"?
