Thank you Sandy for the abm info.Nice collection Brian
If you are not sure you could measure them with a cloth tape measure to differ the plates. The eagle plates for a shako should be smaller than the plates for the Tschapka.
For example:
Officer shako M95: Height: 8,5 cm without crown + 1,1 cm crown | Width: 11 cm (measured over the chest)
Officer Tschapka M95: Height: 9,5 cm (without crown) + 1,5 cm crown | Width: 14 cm (measured over the chest)
This is a so stunning vision. I love it.Once again Zebedeus shows us so much quality! Marvelous.
For the Sachsen Tschako, you have gilt star + silver overlay, the reverse of silver star + gilt overlay, then in 1909 the Schützen and Jäger get the hunting horn overlay, and on it goes…

I did have a complete Garde neusilber shako a few years back and it was a beauty! It now resides in the Schnurr Collection.

Screw posts on the neusilber star would suggest an older Garde Wappen.
