Tony is the expert on these as far as I am concerned. He has most examples of copies known to man in his collection. I would invite him to comment.

Which is kind, thank you. But I'm sure there are better Leib-Husaren collections out there.

There was a post about 1970s era fakes (small skulls) on another forum, but I can't locate the link. This may be one of them.

This book (French) on the Pelzmützen is a must have. (You can try and google-translate).
3 main patterns. I summaris/zed it.
This study makes it easier!!
Based on this "3-patterns" study I compared and listed the pictures I have in my "archives" from museums, books etc...Interesting exercise! And it prooved to make sense!!!
