MESADEIBOR appears as a single word, DEIBOR letters, in particular, being squeezed to fit the scroll. Typography on those plates was not exemplary.Unfortunately, I'm not sure. I don't like the fact that the letters aren’t completely visible, and I don't know if that might have been the case back then. The black paint also seems to have been applied sloppily.

As of the black paint, a touch-up is no deadly sin, in my opinion. I did it a couple of times (not on the IR88) but I used water-based China ink, which can be removed instantly.
