Offered for sale is a nice looking and rare to find Baden Landwehr M95 enlisted pickelhaube with.

The helmet has Excellent prewar markings: R114, 1908, and IIB RIR 111, which justify the Baden Landwehr wappen being worn on this helmet.

Brian repaired the top front area of the helmet, which was pushed in when I acquired it. The thread showing the before and after views of the helmet with Brian's excellent work can be found here in this thread discussion:

No extra holes in the helmet body. Original brass grommet rings are intact for the front plate.

I have tried to show the line running across the ends of the threaded screw posts for the wappen. I have gently bent the wappen to conform better to the shape of the helmet. The helmet is still sunk in a bit on the viewer's left forehead area, and I tried to show this in the photos.

Chinstrap & Kokardes are original to this helmet, and are 100% original. I show in the photos the cracking to the black surface finish on the chinstrap, and some loss to the black finish coating on the chinstrap.

One of the domed split brad retainers for the spike base is bent on the top of the dome, as seen in photos. I have not bent down the split brad prongs properly flat after the spike was removed by Brian to work on reshaping the top front forehead area of the helmet. I will leave that task to the new owner.

Leather liner is still flexible, and all the leather tongues are fully complete, and there are no tears to the leather tongues of the liner. A couple of the ends of the leather tongues are curled up a bit in the forehead area of helmet, as seen in my photos of interior, but they are complete and not damaged.

One of the nuts for the wappen is a modern white metal nut. After taking the photos, I have included a correct original tin washer to replace the shiny white metal washer that was on the viewer's right side screw post for the wappen. Unfortunately I do not have a brass nut that would fit the threaded screw posts to replace the modern shiny white metal nut on one of the screw posts.

When is the last time you have seen a Baden Landwehr M95 enlisted helmet for sale, and one that is properly issue marked to verify the use of the Baden Landwehr wappen? This is a very seldom seen helmet.

One can see where I snugged up the chinstrap and made it fit the front of the helmet better than what it was when I bought the helmet. The traces on the leather are still visible where the brass adjustment buckles used to be located on the original leather chinstrap.

New Price: $1,050 or "Best Offer" + Postage. I'm not sure what to ask for this helmet, as I thought that it would have been sold by now.

If someone does not want to pay via "friends and family" PayPal, they can simply add the 4% fee. I also have taken bank wire transfers in the past with zero problem for buyers, and I can also take a personal check or bank money order from anyone in the U.S.

Thanks,

Alan

On Hold.

Thanks Kris. Yes, that sounds fine. I can wait to mail it if you would like me to do so. I did that with the #174 Cloth Field Cover for member Festwanger.

Best Wishes,

Alan
