Offered for sale is a very nice example Prussian enlisted pattern Pickelhaube. Nicely issue marked on underside of back visor: "F.A.R. 44, 1916".
I acquired this helmet without any chinstrap or kokarden.
There were no leather wedges to hold the Wappen on to the helmet, but instead the wappen was held in place by a pair of colorful red cloth pieces. I can send the cloth pieces along with the helmet. I removed them in order to show the original grommet holes in the helmet body, which were hidden when the cloth retainer pieces were in place on the wire loops of the wappen. I also wanted to show that there are no extra holes behind the wappen, only the 2-original grommet holes.
I don't see a size marking. I'm guessing it is a size 56 or 57.
Helmet will make a nice addition to any collection.
